Twin Flame or Soul Mate, Is It Illegal?

11 Nov 2025

The concept of a twin flame can have certain legal risks, while the idea of a soul mate is entirely lawful.

The right to life is strongly protected in all legal systems. Because of this, one must be cautious with any “twin flame” teachings involving the element of fire, as it can cause harm or even death. Some online “twin flame” courses fail to explain that their rituals originate from fire symbolism — which can be physically dangerous.

It’s also important to remember that incineration of human remains outside authorized contexts is illegal. Human bodies must be properly taken to a cemetery (campo santo). In these matters, the Rule of Law and the Catholic Church often align through ecclesiastical law.

The law encourages citizens to enjoy participation in their local churches during official hours and to maintain a critical and balanced relationship with religion.

Church and Work

  • Can the Church be a home? No.

  • Can it be a workplace? In some ways, yes.

The Church — especially the Catholic Church — supports the idea of individuals working in their own professions or businesses, rather than retiring early or devoting their lives exclusively to religion. Full dedication to religious life could raise legal complications.

Visiting the Church for meditation, reflection, or connection with saints and the divine is encouraged. Churches are also historically protected heritage sites, and must be treated with respect.

Crimes and Penalties Involving the Church

According to the Criminal Code, there may be up to 4 years in prison for actions that violate religious freedom — for example, preventing a couple from marrying in church or staging a false wedding ceremony as a form of fraud or attack on religious institutions.

Soul mates may marry in either church or civil ceremonies, as long as they respect the law and do not harm or alter protected religious property.

Forced marriage is a serious offense, punishable by up to 3 years in prison (Article 172 bis, Spanish Penal Code), and such a union would be legally null and void.

Religion and the Right to Life

No religion can contradict or endanger the right to life. Certain belief systems — such as forms of Buddhism or shamanism — focus heavily on death rituals, while Christianity emphasizes eternal life and how one lives.

Ecclesiastical law consists of the legal norms the State enacts to regulate religious matters within society. Its goal is to organize and safeguard religious freedom and manage the relationship between the State and religious institutions.
Unlike Canon Law (which is the Church’s internal law), Ecclesiastical Law is a branch of State law.

Marriage, Work, and Legal Reality

The State establishes an 8-hour full-time workday and recognizes marriage through the civil registry, not the commercial registry. Interestingly, couples who prioritize professional and financial partnerships over purely emotional ones often achieve more sustainable independence.

Modern law discourages financial dependency within a couple. Each partner should ideally have their own job, business, and income.

From the entrepreneur community’s perspective, those who stop working lose income and opportunities. Weddings are personal events, not business expenses — investors do not reimburse them. Some individuals even marry to obtain symbolic positions or social influence, rather than contributing through consistent work.

The message is clear: Don’t live off savings — keep working.
Charity work, while noble, is not a substitute for sustainable income.
Infidelity and personal drama often arise from oversharing private life online, which undermines respect and stability.

Christian Values and Fidelity

In Christianity, partnerships are built on lifelong commitment and mutual respect. Celebrations are centered around food and fellowship, not substances like alcohol, tobacco, or drugs.

Keep the dream alive.
A true couple’s goal: a home with a garden and pool, financial freedom, and loyalty.

In conclusion, you cannot financially or emotionally exploit your soulmate.
Respect their independence.
Let them own their own businesses and properties — that’s the legal, ethical, and spiritual way to build a lasting partnership.
